About TAG's Economic Gardening Program

The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), founded in 1999, has created many successful initiatives to support Georgia’s technology and tech-enabled entrepreneurs. It currently has over 9,700 members, including thought leaders from technology companies both large and small, executives of FORTUNE 500 companies, investors, service providers, government and civic leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Traditionally, TAG has focused its programming and resources in the Atlanta region. However, CEO Tino Mantella envisions an organization that serves all of Georgia. TAG’s new Economic Gardening program will enable TAG to do just that and to extend its reach and resources, catalyzing the growth of the technology industry throughout the entire state.

Economic Gardening is an innovative economic development methodology which provides cutting-edge research tools and technical assistance to small business leaders. The unique approach yields stronger companies, more jobs, and stimulation of overall economic growth.

Specifically, TAG’s Economic Gardening program will focus on providing resources such as market research to high-tech and tech-enabled companies in the Georgia coastal region. Participating companies in TAG’s Economic Gardening program will take a major step towards growing their companies quickly and with the right resources to make that growth sustainable.
